We simply updated the bio on our Instagram account.

Created a How To Use Page

Dec. 6, 2020

We launched our 'How To Use' page to help more people understand how to properly use our calculator. We even added an example with helpful screenshots. Check it out and let us know what you think.

Added Detailed Weld Graphics

Nov. 23, 2020

We added new graphics to the stitch weld page (stitchweldcalc.com/stitch-weld) to show the difference between a continuous weld and a stitch weld.

Stitch Welding Page

Nov. 11, 2020

We created a Stitch Welding page to help explain what stitch welding is for anyone who is interested. It also has some helpful information on how to use the free calculator. Check it out by clicking the purple button on the calculator page. Also in this update we added a landing page for a future pro version, however, it is still under development. Tell us which future updates you would like to see and email us at stitchweldcalc@gmail.com.

Updates Section Live

Oct. 6, 2020

Created this updates section for anyone who wants to see the most recent updates and progress to Stitch Weld Calc. We also post updates to our Instagram (@stitchweldcalc) and Facebook (@StitchWeldCalc) accounts.

Calculator Special Cases

Sept. 23, 2020

Calculator is now more robust and capable of handling special cases where you might have a continuous weld instead of a stitch weld. Let us know if you get any goofy results at StitchWeldCalc@gmail.com

Increased Security

Sept. 3, 2020

Added SSL certificate to the website. This increases your security while you are using Stitch Weld Calc.

Updated Buttons

Aug. 31, 2020

We updated the calculator and the buttons to look more modern and nice. This makes the calculator easier to use and understand.

Easier Readability

Aug. 4, 2020

Increased the font size of all text on the website. This should make it everything easier to read and see whether you are a drafter working from your desktop, or a welder running a calculation on your phone in the shop.

Helpful Graphic Added

July 15, 2020

Created and added an informative graphic below the Calculate button to make function of the calculator even easier and less confusing to understand.

Updated Result

July 6, 2020

Format of the result changed so it is easier and more simple for you to read.

Added Informative Information

June 3, 2020

We added descriptions of the four parameters underneath the 'Calculate' button to help eliminate confusion about the calculator and the variables it uses.

Result Rounding

April 28, 2020

Cleaned up the rounding of the calculation result to give you all the information you need and none of what you don't. For example, a result of '3.5' will no longer show as '3.500'. To the same point, if your result has more than three decimal places you will see them to far more accuracy than would ever be necessary.

Mobile Friendly

April 2, 2020

Made the website work better on mobile devices. This should help with those calculations you have to run while out in the shop.

Website is Live!

March 3, 2020

Website is live and ready for anyone who wants to use it! We would love to hear your feedback at StitchWeldCalc@gmail.com

Got the Calculator Functional

Jan. 19, 2020

Got the calculator to a point where it was functional and ready to be used by real people.

Registered the domain name stitchweldcalc.com. For the time in between the last update and this, there has been a lot of work building the calculator to the point where it all nearly works.

Thought of an Idea

Oct. 25, 2019

Thought it would be nice to have a calculator to help me figure out the pitch between weld beads while I was updating engineering drawings for the welding department at work.
